The Great Where the Hell You Been Catch-Up of 2023 | Episode 57

Contrary to what you may have heard from the grapevine or assumed based on simple observation, I have not died.

This quick catch-up will explain my momentary absence from the microphone - followed a few teasers about upcoming episodes, mentions of a few giveaways, and a special shout-out to my Patreon supporters, without whom there would be no show.

Lori Workizer, Brig Writes, Sarah Anderson, Larry Webb, Michelle Fox, Lindsey Spoor, Jos Cro, Nick Graham, Emily Black, Levena Lindahl, Jody Richardson, Erin Mason, Roger Wistar, Jennifer Whitcomb, Christina Gogan, Graham from Adelaide, Shannen Leigh, Moldy Bread Milly, Jason Kirby, Brett Simms, Lisa Abercrombie, James Ortiz, Michelle Barkes, Samantha White, Deanne Armstrong, Alex “Pertin”, Meghan McCarthy, Emmy Jackson, the entity known only as Urspo, Emily Perkins, Riley Riley, Valerie Kravette, Sharon Sargent, Lael Cleland, Jason Piper, Emmy Jackson, James M Weis, Stacey Williams-Gibboney, Jake A, Karen Q., Lindsey Andersen, Lauren Siegert, Estelle Hopper, Sarah Arehart, with additional help from the Diabolical Den of The Donathans, Totally not the FBI, Nick Emel from the 10ish podcast and Kate Wallinga from Ignorance Was Bliss.

Researching, writing, recording and editing the show are labourious and time consuming, but they are labours of love, so thank you all for letting me bring it to you. And for all of you who continuously try to prop me up with your spirit, your humour and your compassion.

But now, without further ado, for a $5 donation this month, new members will receive a home made autographed prison shiv from yours truly

All listeners are welcome to stickers, and autographed doomsday barfbags are available before our follow up episode – all you have to do is tell me how you’d most likely end up in prison, or tell me about your least favourite airline. Love them airliner horror stories.

Be amazed or look away, but either way, we're back. And this is a very quick update. Contrary to way you may have heard from the grapevine or just assumed based on simple observation, I have not died. I mean, yes, pieces of me are always dying, but they're mostly psychological, or financial or technological. I do apologize for the radio silence, but I've been pulled in so many directions lately and it's left me no time and not enough brain power to even make thinks so good. And we found ourselves in an involuntary sabbatical. But let's go ahead and put a wooden stake right in the heart of that mess and see what the future holds. Well. As of Monday, there will be an all new episode. And I know we've done more than a few special or unique episodes this year, and this will be no different, except for the fact that we are traveling to the one place that we have not yet gone together. Prison. Yes, We're going to prison, and that's all I'm going to say about that. And following that, to help make this a September to remember, will be a much requested airline disaster from days gone by that shook New York City to its core. Now we're not doing nine to eleven. I am talking about that other time someone flew too low across the Manhattan Skyline and became intimately entangled with a building. Hint. This one doubles as an elevator disaster. And there may even be a new Mailbag episode on the way. And at the end of this anouncement, stay tuned for giveaways. There are a few people that I would like to thank personally forgetting us this far through the generosity of their patronage, without whom there would be no show. And I'm going to do this quick. Laurie Werkiser, Brig Wrights, Sarah Anderson, Larry Webb, Michelle Fox, Lindsay Spoor, Joss Crowe, Nick Graham, Emily Black, Lavina Lenhall, Jody Richardson, Aaron Mason, Roger Wister, Jennifer Whitcomb, Christina Gogan, Graham from All the Way Over in Adelaide, Shannon Lee, Mouldybred Millie, Jason Kirby, Brett Simms, Lisa Abercrombie, James Ortiz, Michelle Barks, Samantha White, Dianne Armstrong, Alex Purton. That's a fun one. Megan McCarthy, Emmy Jackson, the entity only known as Erstbo, Emily Perkins, Riley Valerie Crevette, Sharon Sargent, Leo Cleveland, Jason Piper, James M. Weiss, Stacy Williams, Goboni, and I hope I'm saying that right, Jak Karen Q, Lindsay Anderson, Lauren Siegert, Estelle Hopper, Sarah Earhart with additional help from the diabolical den of the Donathans totally not the FBI, Nikomel from the Tennish podcast, and Kate Willinga from Ignorance was Bliss. That is one tight group of supporters that I would love to grow so that the show could become a full time venture and I could stop pulling out what's left in my hair. So if you think your rich uncle or your local grocery store should have naming rights to this show, I am all ears. And of all those names I said, that doesn't even include all those generous enough to buy me the occasional coffee and those who have had to sadly discontinue their support from the past because times are tough, and I understand, I do understand, because they are researching writing, recording, and editing the show are laborious and time consuming, but they are labors of love. So thank you for letting me bring it to you, and for all of you who continuously try to prop me up with your spirit and your humor, your compassion, and your energy. I love you all, And now, without further ado, for a five dollars donation, this month, new members will receive a home made autographed prison SHIV from yours truly, And as always, all listeners are welcome to stickers and autographed doomsday barth bags are available before our follow up episode. And all you have to do is tell me how you'd most likely end up in prison, or tell me about your least favorite airline. God, I love those airliner horror stories. Oh drama. Well, I wanted to keep this quick, so that's it for now. Just know that I love you all. Stay safe, keep your head on mostly straight, keep your safety glasses handy, and we'll talk soon
